Jonathan Feist

Jonathan Feist, founder and publisher of Orchard Fire Publishing, has been publishing books since the early 1990s. In 1998, he joined Berklee Press/Hal Leonard, the book publishing activity of Berklee College of Music, where he served as editor in chief until 2025. He has edited and helped publish over 250 books, by hundreds of authors, primarily on topics related to music, business, and culture. Jonathan is the author of many books, mostly related to the music industry, and teaches Project Management for Musicians at Berklee’s online school. He holds both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in music composition from New England Conservatory of Music.
